WEVV is a local CBS affiliate. Formerly, it was a Fox affiliate from 1987-1995. It was also an independent station from 1983-1987.

The station currently does not produce any shows. The station shut down their news department in 2001 because of poor ratings.

There is one major celebrity that came from WEVV. Adam Alexander from Nascar on TNT is a former sportscaster for the station. There are a few other former employees that have gone on to big stations in major cities.
