Božena Nemcová park is situated on the south side of Fryštát chateau and covers an area of 36 hectares. It was laid out in 1804 in the English style as part of the larger project to reconstruct the chateau in the Empire style.
In the past, the park contained the Larisch-Mönnich family tomb, stables and a dairy, and many of the park’s avenues and rare trees have been preserved until the present day. The park is currently undergoing a wide-ranging programme of re-landscaping.
In the central part of the park, near the former stables, is a mini-zoo with a small enclosure for game animals, which is a favourite destination for families with young children. The zoo has a herd of fallow deer and Sika deer, as well as a population of peacocks.

Z jižní strany zámku Fryštát se rozkládá na ploše 36 ha park Boženy Nemcové, který byl založen r. 1804 v anglickém slohu. Založení parku souviselo celkovou empírovou rekonstrukcí zámku.
V minulosti se zde nacházela rodová hrobka Larisch-Monnichu, konírna a mlécnice. Dodnes se zachovaly nekteré vzácné dreviny a aleje.
V soucasné dobe prochází celý areál parku rozsáhlou rekonstrukcí.
Malá obora s výbehem pro vysokou zver se nachází poblíž bývalých Larischových koníren v areálu zámku Fryštát, približne v centrální cásti parku Boženy Nemcové.
