This stature stands out front the restaurant facing the street. The statue is about 5 feet tall and is dedicated to the founder of Laguna Beach, California. "By proper left foot: artist's signature) (On plaque on front of base:) Eiler Larsen/(The Laguna Greeter)/1890-1975/Eiler Larsen made this artist colony his/"Greeting corner" of the world. Giving all/a friendly wave and warm smile he became/known as Laguna's official greeter. Thanks/to the sculptor for transforming this 800/year old mendocino redwood tree into/the likeness of Laguna's remarkable Greeter/sculptor Guy Angelo Wilson/Thanks to my family and friends/Greeters Corner Restaurant signed
