St.
Peter - the first of the Jesus apostles. Originally called
Simon, name Peter
gave him Jesus. Before
becoming a disciple of Jesus he was a fisherman. After Jesus' death he
became
the first head of the Christian Church - Pope. Herod, king of Juda, had
imprisoned him, but Peter escaped.
Finally
he was captured in Rome and was crucified head down. Saint Peter is the
patron
of the popes, church, butchers, glass makers, carpenters, watchmakers,
locksmiths, blacksmiths, founders of lead, potters, masons, brick
maker, bikers,
stonemasons, sitar, cloth makers,
fullers, fishermen, fishmongers, sailors, shipwrecked , penitents,
virgins and
interwieving.
St. John - another
of the apostles of Jesus, the author of
one of the four Gospels. Also he was originally a fisherman, then
became a
disciple of John the Baptist, and later a disciple of Jesus. According
to
legend, he was arrested on the orders of Emperor Domician and thrown
into
boiling oil, which according to legend turned
into a refreshing bath, and St. John went
out of it. In fact, St. John died by natural
death around the year 101 in Efez. He
is a patron of theologians, officials,
notaries, sculptors, painters, scribes, writers, booksellers, book
printing,
book binders, paper producers, winemakers, butchers, saddlers,
manufacturers of
mirrors, engravers, candle makers and basket makers.

Mary was the mother of Jesus Christ. According to the Catholic dogma
she was
the Mother of God, without original sin (Immaculate Conception). Jesus
Christ
is the central person of Christianity. He was a wandering preacher, he
preached
the early arrival of the Kingdom of God and called to conversion and
penance. At
round the year 30 in Jerusalem the Romans crucified him in Jerusalem.
Christians
consider Jesus as the Jews expected Messiah, the Savior of mankind and
of the
Son of God, Muslims as one of the most important prophets. Since the

Svatý
Petr – první
z apoštolu
Ježíšových. Puvodním
jménem Šimon, jméno Petr mu dal teprve
ježíš. Než se stal
Ježíšovým ucedníkem,
byl rybárem. Po Ježíšove smrti se stal
první hlavou krestanské církve -
papežem.
Judský král Herodes jej nechal uveznit, Petrovi
se však podarilo uprchnout.
Nakonec byl zajat v Ríme a ukrižován
hlavou dolu. Svatý Petr je patronem papežu,
církve, rezníku, skláru,
truhláru, hodináru,
zámecníku, kováru, slévacu
olova,
hrncíru, zedníku, cihláru,
moštáru, motorkáru,
kameníku, sítaru, soukeníku,
valcharu, rybáru, obchodníku s rybami,
lodníku, trosecníku,
kajícníku,
zpovídajících se a panen.
Svatý
Jan – další
z apoštolu
Ježíšových, autor jednoho
ze ctyr evangelií. I on byl puvodne rybárem,
následne se stal ucedníkem Jana
Krtitele, pozdeji i ucedníkem
Ježíšovým. Podle legendy by zatcen na
príkaz
císare Domiciána a vhozen do vroucího
oleje, který se ale dle legendy zmenil
v obcerstvující
lázen a svatý Jan z ní
vyšel
obcerstven. Ve skutecnosti Svatý Jan zemrel prirozenou
smrtí okolo roku 101 v Efezu.
Je patronem teologu, úredníku, notáru,
socharu, malíru, písaru, spisovatelu,
knihkupcu, knihtiskaru, vazacu knih, výrobcu
papíru, vinaru, rezníku, sedláru,
výrobcu zrcadel, rytcu, svíckaru a
košíkáru.

byla matkou Ježíše Krista podle
katolického dogmatu byla bohorodickou bez
dedicného hríchu (neposkvrnené
pocetí). Ježíš Kristus je

príchod Božího království a
vyzýval k
obrácení ci pokání. Kolem
roku 30 jej Rímané v Jeruzaléme
ukrižovali. Krestané
považují Ježíše za Židy
ocekávaného Mesiáše,
Spasitele lidstva a Božího Syna,
muslimové za jednoho z
nejvýznamnejších proroku. Od data
Ježíšova narození, byt
pravdepodobne nepresne vypocítaného, je tradicne
odvozován dnes používaný
krestanský letopocet
