There are a few of these boardwalks about this new park. The boardwalks leads over a very marshy and wet area, right up to the Rancocas Creek, ultimately leading to bird blinds or look-outs across the river.

This boardwalk leads from the main circular path which wraps around the park to the river's edge. It offers a fantastic view of the area. At the foot of the boardwalk is a beautiful interpretive called Animal Tracks which offers visitors some insight in how to identify animals, particularly those who live in this nature preserve.

This boardwalk runs straight, while the other ones zig and zag. The sign is westish of the main building parking area, about 650 feet away as the crow flies. You would have to walk around the loop to get to it though. The boardwalk is one hundred six feet in length and five feet wide. The builders included neat little footprints and other tracks on the boardwalk, kind of like petroglyphs.

I love this park and its boardwalks. Visitors can experience fields, shrub/scrub, forest, marsh and river without having to trek far or manage rough terrain. The park has wide, level trails, observation platforms and blinds, good signage, rest rooms and safe parking. The observation platforms overlooking Rancocas Creek can provide interesting sightings in any season, from waterfowl in winter to jumping fish, basking turtles, and flycatchers hawking insects in warmer months. This park was designed specifically for birding and wildlife watching.

To find this marker without a GPSr, park your car at the rotary, walk to the right of the bicycle tender, taking the first and only path. Walk the windy path, you will pass a waymarked interpretive on the left, and then one on the right. The path curves to the left and there will be a small path off to the left. Pass that path and the interpretive marker at the end of it. Continue perfectly straight for exactly 363 feet and you'll see another sign is on the right with a trailhead is to the right of it. Pass that and go around the bend making a left and proceed 400 feet straight ahead and the sign and boardwalk will be on your right.

Approximate boardwalk length (feet): 106 feet

What is the boardwalk over?:
A marshy area which leads to the Rancocas River.
