The centerpiece of the memorial is a three-story section of one of the fallen twin towers. The artist who designed the new Palm Beach Gardens 9-11 memorial is Mark Fuller. He says he arranged the three-story window section and the glass panels with the 3,000 names of the victims to fit within the outline of a Maltese cross which is a symbol of firefighters.
"I told them I'd do it for free because of being a native New Yorker and just an American," Fuller said. "I thought it was a great project."
