The memorial is a flag pole with a plaque on it. The plaque reads: "This park endeavors to forever preserve the memory and honor all those that perished during the tragic events that occurred on September 11, 2001. The victims and heroes of the World Trade Center, United Airlines flight 93 and the Pentagon to Thomas E Burnett Junior, San Ramon resident and hero of flight 93.

"O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!

America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for heroes prov'd
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life.

America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine.

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears.

America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea."

On the plaque is an American flag and the San Ramon Seal. The flag pole boasts the American, Californian and San Ramon's Flag. On the flag pole's front is a plaque to just Burnett Jr.
