There are two Barn Quilts on this barn, one on each end. The other, Bear Paw, is viewable from State Hwy 81.
The barn, built in the early 1950's was originally a dairy barn. Now it houses horses.
On the farm property is the famous "Halfway Tree". It was used by the indians as a marker for half the distance between Lake Michigan and the Mississippi River. Todays survey measurements show that it is about 6 miles off. There are disputes about how the measurements were made. (see Waymarks WM3KEA & WM6X7X)
