The German Film-Museum in Potsdam presents a whole cabinet full of different German entertainment awards. While most of them are just samples of certain awards, we discovered at least two that were the real thing. One was a "Golden Starlet," presented by Germany's oldest singing competition "Song Derby" to the best Oldies-Artist of 1993 (see picture gallery), the other one was a very prestigious Jupiter.
The Jupiter is a viewers choice award. Since 1979, readers of Movie-Magazine "Cinema" vote every year for awards in in four international and four national categories (film, director, actor, actress). In addition, since 1997, there are also votes for the best German TV-film or series and the best German TV actor or actress.
In 1999, the award for the Best German TV Film went to "Klemperer - A Life In Germany." (
