The falls is one three waterfalls on along this section of the Nedd Fechan. It located a short distance north of the confluence of the Afon Pyrddin. The falls upper portion has a distinct horseshoe shape thus the name. The falls has three drops totaling 10-15 feet with the larges about 5-6 feet.

The walk to the falls is from the Waterfalls Center (N51° 45.368 W3° 35.661) and the trailhead is across to road to the right and behind the Angel Inn.
