Mineral Wells Park was the setting for the celebration of Oklahoma's Statehood, and a marker near the entrance states it is the most historical park in the area. It is located on Division, about a mile south of Highway 33. It is a very nice wooded park with many recreational facilities.
Access to this marker is limited to park hours: 6 a.m. - midnight.
This DAR marker is one of four historical markers placed near the park's entrance. Although it doesn't give many specifics on Oklahoma history, it is a very nice marker with a huge DAR logo on the top.
