The Royal coat-of-arms of George III, in plaster on the west wall of the church in Nether Wasdale, suggests early 19th century date for the plasterwork. Church is grade 2 listed building and open to the public.

Inside the church is a plaster coat of arms of George III. There are other pieces of plaster work around the church. The ceiling has fine plaster relief with cherubs' faces, and remains of murals on the south walls.
