This homey spot is located in a restored firehouse that was constructed for the Camp Adair Army base in 1942. This area was "Hospital Hill" for the Army base, then after WWII ended, the hospital was operated by the Navy for about another year and one-half. Then the hospital was remodeled into apartments for the returned G.I.'s who were attending Oregon State College. In the 1960's the area was used by the Air Force for a SAGE radar facility. Now it has become Adair Village, home to a growing population and Santiam Christian Schools.
