Situated on McLean Street Waitara, opposite the Waitara War Memorial Hall, this burial ground served the British forces stationed at the Camp Reserve (Pukekohe Pa) during the Taranaki Land Wars of the 1860's.

Centred in the cemetery is an obelisk, erected by the New Zealand Government to commemorate those who fell in the battles of Puke-Ta-Kaurere and Kairau.
