The Llywel church dates to early times as early as the 6th century with it becoming St Davids in 1203 prior to that time it was dedicated to three saints, David, Darn (Paternus) and Teilo.

The current church is listed as a Grade I building and dates mostly to the 15th century however the tower dates to the 14th century. The architectural style of the church is predominately Late Perpendicular of about the 1480s. Some restorative work was done to the church during the 1800s.

For a more extensive description of the church and its history see this website.  For further photos of the church including its interior (it was not open when I was on site) see this website.
