Official Description:
Abstract copper sculpture of rectangular and circular forms built into a tower-like shape. Four bronze abstract figures are located at various positions on the tower. The sculpture serves as a fountain and stands on a concrete base in the center of a fountain basin. The basin is constructed of concrete and brick.

The sculpture was installed in 1972. It was repaired from vandalism and renamed "Citadel" around 1986.

The information plaque reads:
Citadel
Artist: Roland Hockett
Dedicated in 1973 by President Richard M. Morley. The artist donated his efforts, with the help of his son Christopher, to create this sculpture for the college. The materials were donated by a campus club. The base was built and donated by Gulf Asphalt Co. of Panama City, Florida. Registered with the National Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Property: National Museum of American Art and the Smithsonian Institution.
