This is in another terminal at Kona International Airport. These are past security and the the middle of the public terminal. This statue greats tourist when they leave the airport and show them what Hawaiian Lei Making is like. If you don't have a plane ticket, you can see the piece if you look though the windows of the restaurant nearby.
The sculpture keeps the tradition of Hawaiian lei making alive. It shows tourist how delicate the processes is and the rewards that come with it.
