In the Tulsa area, you will periodically come across wood carvings, many of them carved trunks in-place where the trees grew. This is one such carving. It stands behind a row of condominiums at the Benchmark, but can easily be seen through a wrought iton fence along 91st Street, just west of Yale Ave.
The tree is approximately 8 to 9 ft. high. The words "The Benchmark" are carved into the trunk. Above that is a circle, and atop the circle, an owl. The carving of all the feathers on the owl is quite detailed.
