This vicious killer met his end in 1887 when he fell off a wagon and one of the wheels rolled over him, breaking his neck, and was buried in the old town cemetery. Over the years many markers were lost and the cemetery deteriorated to the point that Allison's grave was moved to a location downtown near the local museum. Not a long way in distance, but a long way in what it means. From neglected long ago gunfighter/killer, to a local tourist attraction. It's not only the mighty who fall, in this case it would seem even the low life's of the past can fall even further.
