Little is recorded of Zechariah Hosmer's service during the Revolutionary War. It is known that after the war he and his wife Mercy settled in Avon, New York where they resided from 1791 until 1799. After that the Zechariah and Mercy settled in Parkman to be with their son, Alonzo in 1819 (source Migrations.org).
