A flat silhouette of a miner. He is holding a drill which is attached to a drill support rod. There are two copper tubes attached to the drill which represent the hoses which carry steam to power the drill. The figure of the miner stands on top of a tall rectangular base. On front of the base is an oval with an inscription.
Sculpture: approx. 3 ft. x 10 in. x 11 1/2 in.; Base: approx. 9 x 1 x 1 ft.
