A small brass plaque is engraved: Clinker Dinghy built by H Barton of St Marys Bay, Auckland.
The little boat is now used in a trout fishing display and is complete with all the fishing gear, tackle, waders, landing net and rods and equipped with an old Seagull outboard motor. Just the thing for a lazy afternoon trolling the lake edge using one of the popular lures, Spotty Gold or Traffic Light or perhaps a handtied fancy feathered fly like Taupo Tiger.
Tight Lines!
