The building located at One South Broadway in downtown Edmond was constructed in 1935. The Broncho Theater operated here until the early 1970's. It had a seating capacity of 600. If you weren't told, you wouldn't see anything about this building that suggests a theater once operated here.
This is a two-story building, and on February 2, 1947, on the second floor of this building, Edmond's first 22-bed hospital opened. It makes you wonder if it affected patients' recuperation, hearing all the cowboy "shoot 'em ups" downstairs.
The building is currently occupied downstairs by Othello's Italian Restaurant, which is open daily at 4:00. Upstairs are an attorney's offices.
