City Hall is a one-story building located on the northwest corner of W. 9th Street and Broadway, at 16 W. 9th. This is the location of the City Administrative offices, as well as the Police and Fire Departments, and is the location of the Municipal Court. Offices are open from 8:00-5:00 Monday thru Friday.
Shawnee operates as a Managerial form of government, with a Commission appointing a City Manager who is in charge of all city departments. The Board of Commissioners pass all ordinances and confirm appointments made by the City Manager. The Commission meets the first and third Mondays of each month at 6:30pm, and the proceedings can be viewed on local cable Channel 30.

A Bicentennial bell is located on the grounds, as well as a time capsule. A fiberglass horse named "Centennial Celebration" also stands at this location.
