A small castle Drum near the village of Plesnice stood on a rocky promontory above the confluence of Plesnicky stream and Mze river. Already around the year 1170, although Gumpold reminds of the drum and the name of the castle is echoed in the surname of the Counts of Varlejch drum and the drum, but we do not know why this is so, if anyone of them was the owner of the castle. Location drum stated for the first time in 1349, but 1390 is still marked as "drum castle" on the way to Pilsen.
