Though small this park offers a respite from a day's travel. It is located on the main road and on the site of the original Deerwood train depot. There now stands a recreated depot picnic shelter. The park has parking and also features a giant leaping deer made out of fiberglass. The deer sports blaze orange during hunting season. During the Christmas holidays, the deer is decked out with a red nose. The park has a historical marker honoring Minnesota's Cuyuna Range. A large iron sculpture of a train is also in the park area. There are other waymarks in the park and also an abundance of photo fun for the kids and family.
