Domovni znameni, ktera v dnesni dobe vnimame jak pouhou dekoraci mela v historii mnohem dulezitejsi ukol - stredoveka rychle rostouci mesta potrebovala nejaky orientacni system, takze z grafiky se razem stalo "orientacni cislo" domu.

Puvodne goticky dum prošel nekolika prestavbami, dnesni barokni podoba je z roku 1729. Domovni znameni, reliefni obraz raka ozdobeny stukovymi kvetinami, je z roku 1608. Dum vlastnila a roku 1709 zde zemrela matka malire P. J. Brandla.

The house signs on ancient houses, that looks simply as some kind of decorative elements on buildings, once served as a kind of orientation in fast growing cities. Today we use nubers :).

Originally a Gothic house underwent a number of reconstructions, its current Baroque appearance is from 1729. The house sign, a relief of a lobster adorned with stucco floral decorations, is from 1608. The house was owned by mother of the painter P. J. Brandl who also died there in 1709.
