The Ware County Confederate Monument is located in Phoenix Park on Plant Ave. at Pendleton Street, Waycross, GA
This statue was erected by the Francis S. Bartow Chapter U.D.C. and dedicated June 3, 1910 or Oct. 14, 1910.
The sculpture is of a Confederate soldier standing on the top column. He is in uniform and wears a wide brimmed hat. He holds his rifle in his right hand and it rest on his right shoulder. His bedroll is slung on his left shoulder and rest on his right hip. A canteen and knife hang around his waist on his left side, and a small bag hangs on his right side.

On left side:
ETERNAL RIGHT THOUGH ALL THINGS FAIL, CAN NEVER BE MADE WRONG.
"MANY OF WHOM GAVE ALL, AND ALL OF WHOM GAVE MUCH."
On right side
THE IMPARTIAL ENLIGHTENED VERDICT OF MANKIND WILL VINDICATE THE RECTITUDE OF OUR CONDUCT, AND HE WHO KNOWS THE HEARTS OF MEN, WILL JUDGE THE SINCERITY WITH WHICH WE HAVE LABORED TO PRESERVE THE GOVERNMENT OF OUR FATHERS IN ITS SPIRIT.

The Waycross Train Station now houses the visitor center and is located across Plant Ave from the statues. The visitor Center address is, 315 Plant Avenue, Waycross, GA.
