Not only is this a relocated Camp Adair chapel, it is also a memorial. My search for this chapel involved asking the Silverton Historical Society for information. They had no idea that it was a Camp Adair chapel. While researching it for me, they sent me information that it is also a memorial to Father Richard Carberry, who was Pastor there when the war started, and enlisted in the Chaplins Service. He served in Manila, Bataan and was taken prisoner on Corregidor. While on the island, he was given two citations for outstanding bravery by Lt. General Wainwright. The prisoner of war ship was bombed on the way to Japan, but he survived, only to die later in a work camp.
