"Nighthorse of the Mesa" is a figure of a Cheyenne Indian on a horse wearing a headdress and holding a long lance. It will 1 1/2 times life size which makes it about twelve feet from the horse's nose to tail and about twelve feet from the ground to the top of the Indian's head. This piece of art was sculpted by Jeff Rudolph of Cody, Wyoming and is a project of the Golden Public Art Partnership, a committee of the Golden Civic Foundation. Jeff also did the Howdy Folks of Buffalo Bill and a little girl on Washington Avenue. The sculpture is on a landscaped roundabout that includes a fountain during the summer months at South Golden Road and Johnson Road.
