"Here at the Route 9 Diner, we believe in making food from scratch with emphasis on consistency, value & flavors. Our menu is extensive and very eclectic. We have breakfast fare ranging from the simple egg and bacon to eye-popping challah french toast and huevos rancheros. Lunches and dinners cater to the comfort foods of meatloaf and turkey dinners and flip the switch to decadent Italian sauté and Greek specialties.

We believe we stand out because of the history of our owners, Chris and Archie. They are working owners who you will find working behind the kitchen line and out on the dining room floor. They are the ones cooking your eggs or serving you a burger and fries. They do not stand out because they work alongside the staff.

Both Chris and Archie are proud decedents of Greece, a culture built on the principles of family and the love of great food. Chris and Archie have been close friends for 20 years.Chris has an accounting background and has been in the restaurant business since he learned to walk where his family owned a pizza restaurant and later a fine dining establishment in Connecticut.

Archie has a similar background working in family restaurants and pizza places and later working in corporate dining and later owning his own pizza restaurant. Also a familiar face and family friend is Manager/Baker Dimitrios Demos. Dimitrios has been bringing his passion for baking in the form of our wonderful Homemade desserts since day one.

In 2003 Chris purchased the Route 9 Diner and a year later Archie partnered into the restaurant. The Restaurant has quickly risen "to the place where people simply go to eat", a primary fixture in Hadley, Massachusetts. The Route 9 Diner is a gathering place for children, elderly, college students and many residents of the Pioneer Valley. The Route 9 Diner is simple for the face we only believe in one thing...Good food for good people!"
