The four-story brick building located at 17-23 E. Main, on the southwest corner of Bell Street and E. Main is a bulky, utilitarian building that once housed the Mammoth Department Store. It is currently occupied by Neal's Home Furniishings. This building is one of nine contributing buildings to the Bell Street Historic District.

The four-story building has a two-story wing to the west. The first and second floors have large showroom windows, with the third and fourth floors having smaller individual windows, which are currently boarded up. The original, 1907-period arched entrance on Bell Street (East side) still remains.
