Train station Galanta is located on route no.130 Bratislava hl.st. - Sturovo - Szobb (in Hungary). Here is also connection to route no.133 to Leopoldov and Trnava. Zeleznicna stanica Galanta lezi na trati ZSR c. 130 Bratislava hl.st. - Sturovo - Szob (MAV). Odbocuje z nej trat ZSR c. 133 do Leopoldova a Trnavy. Nachadza sa na 103,060km Bratislava - Sturovo a 0,011km Leopoldov - Galanta. Stanica ma 10 dopravnych, 7 manipulacnych, 3 odstavne, 4 ostatne stanicne kolaje. Budova sa nachadza vlavo v smere od Bratislavy hl.st.

Budova a areal zeleznicnej stanice (stara budova zel. stanice bola postavena v dobe pripojenia mesta na centralnu uhorsku zeleznicu v r. 1850). Je to stanica vacsieho vyznamu, budovy su rozlahlejsie, s radenim pozdlz krajnej kolaje. Prizemna cast dnesnej zel. budovy bola postavena v r. 1899. V interieri sa nachadzaju miestnosti s korytkovou klenbou s fabionovou rimsou.

Ochranu cestujucih zabezpecovali kryte verandy z ocelovej kontrukcie s imitaciou klasickych korintskych motivov od roku 1914. Stlpy su v pozdlznom smere zavetrene vaznikom, ktory ma stojinu z prekrizeneho rastra ocelovych pasov, natocenych o 45°. Tento motiv sa casto vyskytuje aj na konstrukciach mostov, resp. v drevenom vydani na vyzdobach stitov verand stanic. Stanica ma vlastnu predajnu listkou a maly bufet.

V areali stanice su zachovane objekty: vodarenska veza, pri zeleznici, dvojpodlazna budova s obdlznikovym podorysom zastresena valbovou strechou, vypravna budova, „vyhrevna“, povodne sklady.
