It is probable that the use of the name 'Horseshoe' in a pub name is quite straight-forward.

In days gone by pubs would no have had signs as we now know them, but maybe a branch,a broom, a vine, or similar.

A horseshoe is a symbol of good luck. Three horseshoes three times the luck. In this case, one more is even luckier.
