This sculpture, entitled "manacle," consists of five metal plates with silhouette cut-outs of a human figure, progressing from full figure to increasingly smaller portions of a figure in the fifth plate. This creates a striking effect when viewed straight-on. The first plate has hands extending to the side.
It is dated 2001.
Anmyeondo is technically an island, but was created several hundred years ago when a canal was dug at the upper end of a peninsula. It is connected on the north by bridges, and there are projected plans for a large bridge connecting the southern tip to the mainland, crossing several small islands.
The sculpture park has 20-30 sculptures of various types, a lawn-bowling court, and a newly constructed walkway up the side of the hill offering panoramic views of the island from a platform.
