Deridder's- (horse ferry) c. 1788, loc. on the E. side of the Hudson, S. of the mouth of the Battenkill- 72; its loc. opp. Schuylerville, N.Y. - 263 Col. Baum's force broke camp here 5:00 AM, Aug. 12, 1777, on their march to Bennington; they halted nr. Galesville for the remainder of the day, & continued towards Cambridge the foll. morning. - 277
