This vintage ambulance is located on the grounds of the Minnesota Military Museum on the grounds of Camp Ripley near Little Falls, MN. The museum is a treasure trove of military artifacts, weapons, equipment, uniforms and more located in both indoor and outdoor displays.

The M886 is the same vehicle as 1976-1977 Dodge M880 truck, but with a box ambulance attached to the rear and top of the cab. Other modifications include a blackout lighting system, power ventilator and hot water heater. A sliding door behind the driver's seat allows entry to the rear compartment, which holds a surgical ceiling light and folding seat for an attendant. Up to five litter patients or six ambulatory wounded can be carried in the rear compartment, in addition to the attendant.
