The plaque is on the archway of the city hall. City hall itself is located on Main St.

The plaque reads: "Presented to the city of Grass Valley in recognition of their centennial celebration March 13, 1893-1993 by the Grass Valley Downtown Association."

The city of Grass Valley is the largest city in the small county of Nevada. The city was originally known as Centreville , and it dates back to the California gold rush era. The city was incorporated in 1893. The city still celebrates it's Cornish heritage, with pasty shops located around town (there's even one by here)
