This work is by muralist and painter Fred C. Haberlein, who began painting mural at 21 years old - he is now 63 and still merrily painting. The mural appears to be of Mt. Sopris, named for Capt. Richard Sopris who 'discovered' the hot springs while leading a prospecting party in 1860 (visit link) .
