These two murals are on the side of the Sunlight Ski & Bike Shop in Glenwood Springs. The murals depict the early days of skiing and bicycling. Bicycling was a sport easily mastered by women and gave them their first taste of freedom of movement and travel at the turn of the century. Skiing originally developed as a way to travel and hunt in the winter, but has evolved into sport. Each mural is on a large sheet of plywood permanently affixed to the building.
