This old firehouse sits in front of the new water tower in downtown Phillips, WI and across the street from the new Price County Courthouse. This building has quality written all over it. The new larger Fire house is made of tin, larger but cheaper. The location of this old Fire Station is 146 Balsam Street.

In 1894 the city of Phillips, WI and surrounding area was leveled by fire. Between 1894 and 1900 the city was rebuilt using a red brick with sandstone trim instead of the original wood. The fire station was one of these buildings.
