I visited the Parachute Rest Stop in June of 2010 while on a business trip. The rest stop had ongoing construction of three concrete caissons with bolts protruding. I assumed that this was for more playground equipment. So you can imagine my surprise when I was vacationing in the area in October 2010 and found the artistic solar flowers.

These flowers provide the energy for the visitors center and the new WiFi. They are also very pleasing to the eye!
