The interior of the Round Barn is not currently open to the public, but it is viewable from the park. Permission to enter the Round Barn must be granted by the Manhattan Township Park District.

Measuring 100 feet in diameter and 60 feet high, the barn is one of the largest round barns within Illinois. The barn was constructed by John C. Baker in 1898, and family history indicates it was built from from lumber purchased at the end of 1893 Columbian Exposition - but this has not been verified.

The sketch of the Round Barn was made during my lunch hour on October 22, 2010. The image sketch was that of the south elevation which is also the main entrance to the barn.
