Lynn Camp Prong Cascade consists of several falls and cascades. The upper cascade is 35 feet long, the middle cascade is 85 feet long and the lower cascade is 55 feet long. At the end the lower cascade drops 10 feet into the plunge pool. Total drop is 65 feet from the upper cascade to the plunge pool. There are a couple of log benches along the cascade where you can sit and enjoy the scenery.

The cascade is a 1 mile round trip from the end of Tremont Road in the Tremont area (see the parking coords). Tremont Road is the first left turn off Laurel Creek (Cades Cove) Road after passing the Townsend Wye. Tremont Road is paved for the about the first mile (until just past the turn to the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont) and then is gravel for 2 or 3 miles. Tremont Road ends at a loop where parking is available. Cross the metal bridge at the parking location then follow the sign for the Middle Prong Trail. Middle Prong Trail is a popular horse trail so watch your step. There is no sign identifying the cascade although it is easy to see on the left side of the trail. The nearest facilities are at the Institute gift shop.

Middle Prong Trail is on an old logging railroad roadbed. It is a wide dirt trail uphill, not steep, all the way to the cascade. The trail connects with the Panther Creek Trail (2.3 miles), Greenbrier Ridge Trail (4.1 miles), and the Appalachian Trail (8.1 miles). The trail parallels Lynn Camp Prong for the first 2 miles or so.
