This lane has some superb examples of folk architecture, mostly built after the Great Fire of 1788. The street gets its name (Zvedavá means curious or nosey) from the fact that the houses on the western side are built in such a manner that each one protrudes the width of a window further out than the next. This means it quickly narrows and the houses look as though they are occupied by prying types who want to see what’s happening on the main thoroughfare.
The historic picture was taken by Jaroslav Feyfar in 1907.
