No longer an active mine, the Three Forks Mining Company opened a shaft here and located some copper about 325 feet down, but the mine does not appear to be active at this time. The location is not far from the former community of Eustis, and the closest community at this time would be Fairweather or Three Forks.
There are 2 unoccupied structures here. Both have been assaulted by the weather, time, vandals and livestock. (There are large amount of manure in one of the structures). Both have evidence and layouts of prior use as homes. One has traces of wallpaper inside, and both had pale green paint adorning the interior walls. Nails that have fallen out of the wood, and laying on the ground, were of rough construction and squarish in appearence.
