Inscription: (On the temple wall beside and beneath the relief:) NOT BY MIGHT NOR BY POWER BUT BY MY SPIRIT SAITH THE LORD OF HOSTS.

Imposing relief sculpture on the front of the synagogue. According to Ira Bach & Mary Gray in "Chicago's Public Sculpture", "This 12 foot by 10 foot limestone panel carved in high relief on the site might well be the first use of figural sculpture on a synagogue in 1500 years." That sounds pretty significant!
