The Hurd House is a two-story house set in a residential neighborhood. The marker is located on the southwest corner of the property. There are about half a dozen houses/markers just like this one within a mile or two of each other in this historic section of the city.

F.S. Hurd House

F.S. Hurd built this house in 1904. He came here in 1902 to establish a bank, now First National. He also founded Broken Arrow Federal Savings and Loan. He promoted agriculture and supported farm youth programs. Hurd was known as "Mr. Broken Arrow" for his vast community services.
