This six foot sphere suspended from the ceiling gives visitors a view just as an astronaut would see our planet and other planets and moons. Data and actual photos from NASA's space missions adds a realistic touch to this new exhibit.
As the images on the globe turn, a narratted story of the history of the earth's creation is unfolded in front of you, with computer generated images.
Other than viewing the earth from creation to current, visitors can view storms on Jupiter, or see the dark side of our moon. Spend a couple of minutes watching and learning from this stunning 3D exhibit.
Wallops Island Flight Facility is an active NASA facility, and sounding rockets and balloons are still fired from this site. The visitor center has numerous exhibits about rockets, space travel and NASA related missions.
