This pair of Tokheim pumps stand on a service island in front of a vintage service station, along Route 66 in Davenport. The building is currently operated as the Early Bird Cafe.
The pumps are red and white, and the price of gasoline is frozen in time at 53.9 cents. The assumption that this was a Texaco station is based on (1) the red and white color, and (2) a painting of the station and a Texaco pump on the Welcome Sign mural that stands at the roadside in front of the building.
